Other Associations ABEPPS – The Brazilian Association for the Study of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology Rio de Janeiro is the city in Brazil where most professionals that have been introduced to Self Psychology are concentrated and where most study groups have been held for the last two decades. ABEPPS is the Brazilian Association for the Study of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology, an organization that has been devoted to studying basic concepts necessary to understand Kohut’s and his followers’ ideas, since 2001.
